Changing the resolution of your desktop - Linux VNC

A common question we get asked is how to change the resolution of VNC, this is fairly simple, but it requires manual editing of a file.

1) Log in to your server through VNC or SSH.

2) Find and edit the file /etc/rc.local

3) Replace 1280x720: "su root -c "tightvncserver -localhost -geometry 1280x720 :1"

VNC Runthrough

4) Reboot your server to refresh the settings.
